Cambodia - A Land of Pristine beauty

The Kingdom of Cambodia is a great place to visit. Places like Angkor Wat are beautiful and spectacular. The landscapes of Cambodia are known to be diverse and so is the wildlife. The first Asian adventurers discovered this landscape and at that time the place looked like there was no civilization here.

One of the best places to visit is the temples of Angkor Wat, which are also on the Unesco list of world patrimony sites. However, though adventure seekers prefer to climb up the mountains, getting there is very challenging. The good news is that there are buses that take you there.

News From Cambodia

Today Cambodia has realized its tourism possible and some roadways have been advanced for the convenience of tourists. Places you would like to visit are Phnom Penh, Siem Real and Sihanoukville. You can also take buses from and to Thailand.

Dining in Cambodia can be an out of the world feel and the area is also noted for wines. However, it is still severely underdeveloped in many areas and finding stray dogs or unwanted pests is not a surprise. Dogs go to the extent of approaching you and begging for food. Tourist's attractions are not perfect, and do not expect every single attractiveness being taken care of. You will be left to find the conveniences yourself and be prepared for this to a safe bet extent. However, what is most appeasing and bright about Cambodia is the natural attractiveness and the diverse wildlife. The environment is roughly untouched and nature has flourished here. There were some tigers in this country a few years back, but now it has been given away to severe poaching in the area.

In the past, travelling to Cambodia can only be achieved in our dreams as it has shut its doors for about 25 years. Now it is good news to those who want to voyage to Cambodia as it has ultimately open the doors with open arms and welcome anyone to voyage and visit the country. The kingdom of Cambodia is now a safe and enjoyable destination for tourists.

Cambodia is customary for its ancient temples, fabulous sandy beaches, dense forest and the fabulous culture and fabulous history. Travelling to Cambodia is actually very educational and eyes opening and is a perfect trip for the family.

News From Cambodia

It has been said that looking the Angkor Wat alone is worth the trip to Cambodia. Angkor Wat is known to be one of the most gorgeous places on Earth. It is built by the Khmer Kings and it took approximately 4 centuries to complete. In the ancient days, this temple was hidden in the forest but was fortunately discovered by a French man about 150 years ago.

The size of Angkor Wat is so huge that it is not inherent to walk from one temple to another. If you prefer to move colse to at your own pace, you might want to rent a bike and tour colse to at your own time and convenience. Someone else alternative is that you can get a local guide which ordinarily includes transportation. For the second option, you can get more facts about the various itineraries and packages from your hotel tour counter. The "Lost City" of Angkor is actually an irresistible attraction not to be missed.

The citizen in Cambodia is very amiable and warm especially towards tourists. Besides the vast amount of tourists attractions, the amiable culture of the Cambodia people, the delicious cuisine is also Someone else surmise for the expanding numbers of travellers coming to Cambodia.

Having a vacation in Cambodia is a totally separate sense and cannot be compared with travelling in a city like Japan. The pace is a bit slow here and transportation is not as sufficient and fast compared with cities in other industrialized countries. Travelling between destinations although is quite an experience, it can be rather fun as this is cannot be experienced elsewhere.

If you are living in a fast pace country, visiting Cambodia is like visiting a new world. All things is so separate and unique here. It can be an unforgettable sense for most of us.

The choosing of the Political Leader in Cambodia

Though its present image does not draw great impression from the regional and international audiences, Cambodia, to me, is one of the world's states that many other states can learn from.

Its journeys across practically every stage of political regimes, successful history and stigmatized present day and other political spiral that won over the forecasting power of Henry Kissinger, counselor to the American President Richard Nixon, has made the current politics of Cambodia a trauma one, or I would call a "leprosy subject" in the universities.

News From Cambodia

What are the motives of Cambodia's sluggish development? Are Cambodian leaders reasoning independently and in sovereignty? Are current leaders as a matter of fact caring about people's interests? Are those leaders boasting the genuine leadership faculty? These are the questions that make the selection of the political leader a very hard subject in the Cambodian society.

Selections of the political leader in Cambodia, to those who have informative mind, prove a very difficult one. So what are the reasons behind their hard selection? Its sometimes-vertical and sometimes-horizontal political atmospheres and its unstable spiral in economy have been the eminent homework that makes us difficulty in fulfilling our job of choosing our leader. However, there are much more factors that are contributing to our head age.

With all the above evils, choosing the political leader in Cambodia is not to opt out "from the best of the best", but pick the one who has committed the lest crimes; nationally and internationally, publicly and individually.

Globalization Means Cambodia Needs a great Diplomacy

The past ten years have marked Cambodia's integration into regional, international organizations and other inter-governmental organizations; just to name a few: Asean (Association for South East Asian Nations), Afta (Asian Free Trade Area), Wto (World Trade Organization), Ilo (International Labour Organization), etc (I do not count other organzations that we have been members long ago). Cambodia's membership with regional and international organizations ranks from economics to politics. Indeed, countless certain points: economic growth, poverty reduction, human reserved supply development, etc, together with certain collective defects: gaps in the middle of the rich and poor, the employed and the unemployed, and unequal growth in the middle of cities and rural areas, etc, have been seen from this globalization aspect.

Cambodia is urgently needing one tool to survive in the globalization: ability Diplomacy.

News From Cambodia

History has presented that Cambodia rarely had good relations with the neighbouring countries and international relations with other far-reaching countries almost never existed, plus its protracted warfare, Cambodia does need to boost its diplomacy and not just plain diplomacy, but "quality" diplomacy to benefit from globalization.

So what does "diplomacy" means? Not referring to the gentle theories, written by world celebrated legal publicists, in my personal sense and opinion, diplomacy means "Negotiation skill for national interests". Because of Cambodia's unacceptable gentle history, gift non-existence of gentle schooling in the undergraduate or graduate schools, lack of diplomacy and international-relation specialists, how can Cambodia diplomats abroad argue for Cambodia's national interests.

Drawing from all above facts, without delays, Cambodia is currently in need of ability diplomacy. This paper would serve as "revealing fact, rather than initiating problem-solution."

One of the Answers to Why Cambodia Has Sluggish improvement

"Paris Agreements On A broad Political village of The Cambodian Conflict" signed on 23 October 1991, marked a indispensable freewill agreement in the middle of Cambodia and the witness-states of the world, that Cambodia would unconditionally stand for liberal democracy. Era of confident change, big or small, I believe, is descriptive in Cambodia; Cambodia's government is turning the system of democracy into practicality. But is it paralleled in the middle of the time-spending, resources (especially finance), international involvements, and the achievements received by the government? The majority, along with me, would say "no", and that means the achievements would be greater. And what are the obstacles of democratization? Many obstacles are acutely seen, but media-extremism, as I name, will be the heated consulation below.

Multi Media And Publication

News From Cambodia

One of the most acute obstacles to authentic democracy for Cambodian government is "media-extremism". What does it mean by the word media-extremism? Media-extremism here, I mean that most of the media networks of Cambodia are thoroughly left-wing or thoroughly right-wing. If the newspaper is pro-government, that newspaper always says good things about the government, and if the newspaper is pro-opposition party, the opposition party is always right and the government is always wrong. I found some confident and negative things in both the government and the opposition party, and the media should say those things out objectively.

I don't want this fourth power to be controlled by any party, but I want this power to free and factual. Of course, media is heterogeneous, anti-bureaucratic, creative, intellectual, all that are an efficient potential to solving a small up-to-date conflict. But citizen can be wrongly or fictionally steered, if the media has no liberal mind and tries to take off the nature and reality from the audience. The newspaper, is expertly operated, must be objective and fact-based; state wrong if it is wrong, and right if it is right.

Another qoute is that the opposition party has no way at all to television, which today is the most grand fourth power in Cambodia. Democracy is separate from communism in equal conditions, provided to the contenders. I've never seen the opposition party has their says in the state television networks at all, this means that all the Cambodian television network is belonged to the government, not representing the people's interests. Information is knowledge, but that knowledge can craze the people's minds, if it is not fact-based, but unconditionally maintain the government.

Non-objective Information would bring hardships to domestic and international viewers and analysts. Transparent information, I think, would attract more investors, because national and international investor would determine either to spend the money or not according to the Information they get. Imbalanced Information would make those prospective investors doubtful. Political and economic analysts are on the same track; they can accurately and well analyze the politics and economic growth of one country, in accordance to the Information they get. Because this problem, most of the political and prudent viewers of Cambodia turn to trust the sources of international institutions, especially the Un, more than the domestic sources.

Freedom of publication is one of the most efficient measures of why other regional or European worlds are much more industrialized than Cambodia. "No one can see the colour of his/her eyes, until he/she is helped by the mirror". citizen is the mirror of the government, their expressions would fill the loopholes of the government. A liberal-mind government would be a role model to make state's citizen liberal-mind as well. Constructive critics, endorsements, inventive ideas...etc are some of musts to enhance the government. So far, I have seen that Cambodian citizen are not keen or scared with their heart-based expressions or some even think that their expressions are nonsense to the government. Book-publications, as I have seen, is well inadequate, because of inferior education, lack of libraries and printing houses, the majority of Cambodian citizen are not bookworms, and finally citizen have lack of chances to publishing their written books. Publishing slow down of Cambodia would negatively affect the ability of education, which is the indispensable mechanism to development. Moreover, I have never seen the opposition party issue whatever at all, except in a few newspapers.

Conclusion

Paris Peace Agreement, and openness to regional and global integration, I believe, Cambodian development will never shrink. However, Cambodia would face a lot of challenges, before it can prosper. One of the tools to put in order itself for regional contentions is "to reform and empower press system", by separating it from any political party, empowering the pro press labourers. And judiciary institution has to be a well separated from legislative and menagerial power, so it can ensure the profession-based possession of the press workers. "Cambodia has a long way forward, but before it takes a first step, Cambodia has to have willpower; otherwise time and resources will be extravagantly wasted.

Cambodia Needs Solid Workers' Representatives

Government's openness to direct foreign venture has manifested influx of garment factories, which for half a decade, draws the most wage to the government's financial store house. Simultaneously, countless conflicts in range of dimensions have plainly appeared in the middle of the employees and employers.

Due to entrance to better education, public networkings as well as financial privileges of the employers' sides, trade unions and union federations have been established to address the injustice of the employees. The point of trade union preparation is very positive, however, this certain point has so far turned negative, when it becomes too much and best of all, most of the trade unions and union federations have no capacity and willingness in addressing the interests of the employees.

News From Cambodia

Having worked as a schedule officer of labor schedule for an Ngo, I have come to liaise with dissimilar trade unions and union federations. Resulting from these liaisons, I have come to know that all most all trade unions and union federations have no capacities and willingness to sass to the employees' interests at all; most of them see trade unions or union federations just as transitional path to better opportunities.

We need just a few better trade unions and union federations, not too many like this. And I see no point in this dramatic quantity. Despite government's openness to establishment, trade unions and union federations itself, its stakeholders, and the donors shall take measures to push for their capacities and willingness, not just mere trade unions and union federations. Finally, we do need to see trade unions, union federations and non-government entities free from any political affiliation and private interests.

Internet Voting ideas of New Seven Wonder Foundation is well Unjust for Cambodia

Now the New 7 Wonders community & Foundation, based in Switzerland, has launched the internet voting principles to pick seven, surrounded by other, wonders of the world. Indeed, having access to internet, I have voted Angkor Wat (the world's biggest Hindu temple, located in Siem Reap province, Cambodia. And this temple has all the time been one of the Seven Wonders of the World) as one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Unfortunately, I have seen the internet voting principles to pick the Seven Wonders of the World is unmistakably unjust for Cambodia [and other poor nations].

Stated by the World Bank, Cambodia is one of the poorest countries in the world, as well as in the region. The term "one of the poorest" means that only a so-called mini portion of the population has access to internet, information, language and other communal services and facilities. And simply, the term poor means low education or illiteracy. In Cambodia, surrounded by the twenty-four provinces, only Phnom Penh that has easy access to internet. The internet access in Sihanoukville and Siem Reap is quite high-priced and very slow.

News From Cambodia

Comparing to the United States of America, Spain, Italy, Great Britain, Australia and other countries that have one of the listed wonders of the world, Cambodia is nothing in comparison to these countries. Population, poverty, education figure, internet access, language are the evidence that the internet voting principles of the http://www.n7w.com is totally unjust. Internet is high-priced in Cambodia, comparing with curiosity of the Cambodian people; the consequent already seems to be decided.

The consequent is already seen if "majority" is the method of selection. However, I hope the world selects the Seven Wonders of the World on the basis of reality.

This narrative would serve as the message to the world to consider the way to pick the Seven Wonders of the World.
